A New Kind of Art House

A New Kind of Art House

There are thousands of artists creating work worth living with.

There are just as many people looking for pieces that feel right in their homes. But somewhere between the two, things get loud. Overwhelming. Rushed.

Studio House was built to solve that.

We don’t operate as a traditional gallery because traditional galleries weren’t designed for how people actually buy art today. We don’t position ourselves as a marketplace because marketplaces prioritise volume over clarity. We exist somewhere more specific - as curators who genuinely love the work we present, and who believe thoughtful selection matters more than endless choice.

What curation actually means here

Curation often gets used to mean “we picked some nice things.” At Studio House, it’s more structural than that.

Every piece in our collections is chosen based on how it behaves in a space - not just how it performs in a photograph. We think about light. We think about scale. We think about how art changes the feeling of a room, not just its appearance.

This process is slow, and it’s intentional. We work with a small group of artists whose work complements contemporary interiors without dictating them. The pieces are designed to anchor a room, set a tone, and then step back. They don’t demand attention. They create atmosphere.

That’s a different brief to most online art platforms, and it shows in what we choose to present.

Made in Australia, built to last

Every artwork is produced locally using museum-grade materials. We print on 400gsm polycotton canvas or 320gsm French cotton rag paper, and frame in Australian oak or natural blackwood with crystal-clear glazing. The frames are hand-finished. The backing is archival. The hardware is fitted for wall-ready delivery.

None of this happens by accident, and none of it is ornamental. These materials were chosen because they hold up - physically, visually, and emotionally - over years of daily exposure.

The framing alone takes this work out of the “online art print” category and into something more permanent. These aren’t pieces you’ll replace next season. They’re pieces you’ll live with for decades.

Designed for interiors, not just walls

Studio House was founded on decades of combined experience in fine art, photography, and professional framing. That background shapes how we think about every piece.

We don’t curate art in isolation. We think about it in the context of evolving interiors - spaces that value warmth, texture, and quiet sophistication. Spaces that feel current without chasing trends. Spaces that allow for thoughtful choices without feeling cold.

The work we present reflects that philosophy. Soft neutrals meet deep greens and bold foliage. Abstract forms sit comfortably alongside coastal photography. Nothing is overly literal. Nothing feels forced.

It’s art chosen for how it lives in your home, not how it performs in a feed.

What to expect when you’re here

If you’re new to Studio House, here’s what the experience looks like:

You’ll find collections organised by aesthetic and scale, not by rigid categories or trending keywords. You’ll see pieces styled in real interiors, often with natural light and varied contexts. You’ll have access to detailed imagery showing texture, finish, and frame options.

When you’re ready to buy, the process is straightforward. No hidden costs. No vague timelines. No uncertainty about what arrives.

Orders are typically fulfilled within 2-3 weeks, depending on size and customisation. Wholesale and trade clients work with separate timelines designed for project-based delivery. Artists interested in being represented work through a submission and review process focused on long-term fit, not one-off opportunities.

Everything is structured to remove friction without removing care.

Who this is for

Studio House serves three groups, and we’re designed to work well for all of them:

For homeowners and collectors, we offer finished, ready-to-hang artworks that feel considered and timeless. These are pieces that improve a room’s atmosphere without requiring an interior overhaul.

For interior designers, stylists, and architects, we provide trade access, specification tools, and project support. Our collections work across multiple spaces and scales, with the repeatability and reliability professionals need.

For artists, we offer a curated partnership model built on fair commissions, transparent production, and long-term collaboration. We don’t take on every submission - but when we do, it’s because we see genuine alignment in aesthetic, values, and intent.

Each audience matters, and the brand is built to serve them all without compromise.

Why we started here

We believed there was space for something different. A brand that curates work we genuinely love. A process built for how people actually think about art in their homes. A model where quality, longevity, and honesty aren’t optional - they’re foundational.

That’s what Studio House is. Not a gallery trying to move volume. Not a marketplace trying to sell everything. Just a carefully built collection of contemporary art designed to live well in modern interiors.
